Stencil Project

This is my color wheel, stencil project. My theme was fruit. I used different colored fruit to represent the rainbow. Each color of the rainbow has a different piece of fruit. I also applied filters to each piece. I used the gradient tool in the background. I learned how to stencil pieces, which was pretty difficult to do. I am very pleased with how the final product came out.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas is almost here!! With it just around the corner I thought I would make a festive collage filled with holiday images. I am so excited for Christmas!!

Chair Artwork

These are chairs that I have created. We had to "cover" the chairs using different designs. The top chair I just used random patterns that I thought were pretty. On the second chair all the stripes you see are from Claude Monet's paintings. The most difficult part of this project was creating the shadows. I had to copy the image and then paint it gray. I then used the Warp tool to make it appear as a shadow. I also used the Warp tool to cover the chair with new "fabric." This was a fun project but the shadows were extremely difficult to create. However, I did get lots of practice with the warp tool!!

Kaleidoscope Image

This is my kaleidoscopic image. We learned a new set of tools today to create this effect. Using a tutorial from youtube, I learned the skills to create this image. I think it looks really cool!

Portraying a Historical Message

In honor of Constitution Day, I decided to create an image showing the 13th amendment. I combined pictures of influential, famous figures, Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln, with a picture of slavery. I put them together to create a cohesive picture with a meaning. Two men who fought for to end slavery along side actually slaves working. To tie the image together, I used the text tool to write out the actual amendment. I then messed with the opacity of the images to create the visual you see above.

Photoshop can make very powerful, meaningful images!!

More Practice!

Both of these images are images I created for fun. I was practicing messing the the colors and shadows in the images. I used the burn tool in the clouds on the one on the bottom to make it an ominous day. These were both learning images that helped me gain a better knowledge of Photoshop!!

Visual Puns

These are two of my visual puns. The one on the top left is 'Deviled Eggs.' I used the burn tool a lot for this image to create a darker look. I also discovered the magnetic lasso which allowed me to cut out the image of the devil and made it look much cleaner. I also zoomed in and used the eraser tool to clean up the edges. I individually cut out each egg and dragged it into the devil's pot. I really like the flames in the background and the theme of this image.

My next image is 'Cereal Killer.' While this is a very creepy image, I love the way it turned out. It portrays the message I was trying to get across. I messed with the opacity of the two pictures, so that you could see both pictures on top of each other.

SCARY HUH??

Me and Emily

This is me with my best friend in the world, Emily Moffett. We like holding pinkies and walking through fields together. I love the hippie colors and the way this image turned out. We look super cute! I used different color filters to create this effect. The different images are extremely cohesive.
:)

Negative Space

Believe it or not, this used to be a picture of me! I cut myself out of the picture, leaving just the background. I then took different images, that describe myself, and filled the white space. I am huge into athletics so I mainly represented this with different sports stuff. Since I play basketball and lacrosse, I filled my body with images from those sports. I also have a lot of school spirit and am proud to be a Warrior!

MY CRAZY COMBO!

SO THIS IN ANOTHER VERY CRAZY PIECE. SINCE MY "FRIENDS" EMILY AND COLUM DITCHED ME TO WORK BY THEMSELVES, I WORKED ON THIS ONE ON MY OWN. I TOOK DIFFERENT PICTURES OF ANIMALS AND CROPPED THEM TO MAKE SOME CRAZY LOOKING CREATURES. I THINK THE BUFFALO IMAGE TURNED OUT THE BEST. THE GRAY REALLY BROUGHT THE ANIMAL TOGETHER. IF I WERE TO DO THIS PROJECT AGAIN, I WOULD W0RK MORE ON THE TIGER IMAGE. THE BODY DOES NOT QUITE FLOW WITH THE HEAD. HOWEVER, OVERALL, THIS MAKES A CREATIVE, FUN IMAGE!!

15 Green Things

This is one of the first projects I completed in my digital imaging class! I collaborated 15 different green images to make one, cohesive image. I decided to go with a dark, emo theme, and I really like the way it worked out. The images were all extremely different but came together well. I changed the color of most of the images. My first layer was the girl's face and the splotches of color. I individually traced the shapes and filled them with black paint. I also used the burn tool a lot to make images darker and spookier. I like the way this image took very different things and made one, interesting design. I think it looks like an album cover or something! I can't wait to see where Photoshop CS5 takes me next!
